The Asanas are ordinary physical exercises involving limbering and stretching with pranayama or breathing, and ending in poses or postures when breath is held or controlled for a period of time.
What is Yoga Asanas ?
This is known as Khumbaka or breathes control. Yoga asanas are done to activate the body with the latent forces in the body. Yoga is done to maintain the body, this is Kundalini- the serpent power, the female energy is located at bottom of the spinal Colum, which has to be aroused and stimulated to rise up to join Shiva, the male energy at the crown of the head.
