What is Nakula ?
The Mongoose is the arch enemy of Snake but in ritual paintings they are presented together, the snake as guardian of wealth and the mongoose as the keeper. It is associated with Kubera, the God of wealth, the counterpart of Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth. The Mongoose is believed to be full of wealth and when pressed by Kubera it gives riches of the earth.
