Brahma, Vishnu and Maheswara are the Gods of Trinity in Hinduism. Lord Shiva or Maheswara is the God who can be accessed easily and who forgives instantly. Shiva is the creator along with the eternal union Shakti. He is also the lord of death and destroyer. Tantra method of worship has originated from Shiva. He bestowed 64 yantras for attaining various objectives and siddis to human beings. He is considered the presiding deity for music and dance with the name Nataraja. He is prevalent in the Kundalini as a male force. Bhairava and Hanuman are his famous two avataras. His consort Goddess Shati or Devi is the feminine force in the nature. He has two sons, Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and Subramanya, the warrior God. Ganga and Narmada, the two holy rivers in India are associated with Lord Shiva. It is said that he dwells in the Himalayas on Mount Kailasha. In vedic astrology, the nine planets have the family of Shiva as their ruling deities.

1. Shiva Pooja 108: Shiva linga pooja is performed with various items like coconuts, flowers etc. Archana is performed by reciting the 108 Namavali of God Shiva and Shivopasana mantra recitation is done. The Shodasa Upacharas are done for Lord Shiva. The pooja is done in your name and with your specific wish for which the pooja is being performed.

2. Shiva pooja 1008: The pooja is done as mentioned in the above category and archana of Lord Shiva by reciting 1008 names of Lord Shiva is performed. The pooja is done in your name and with your specific wish.

3. Bilva Patra pooja: Bilva patra leaves are very special for Shiva pooja. The pooja as mentioned in category 1 is done by reciting 108 names of Lord Shiva and 108 bilva patra leaves are offered. This pooja is done specially for you in your name and with the specific purpose.

4. Bilva Patra Pooja 1008: All the above said poojas are done and the 1008 names of Shiva are chanted by offering 1008 bilva patra leaves. This pooja is also done with your specific wish and in your name.

5. Masa Shivaratri (Pradosha) Pooja: The thirteenth day of the lunar calendar Trayodasi has special implication related to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva swallowed halahal, the poisonous fumes to save the universe. Hence every trayodashi which comes twice in a lunar month is considered very sacred and auspicious. If the time is divided into five parts from sunset to sunrise the next day, the first part after the sunset is called Pradosha. It is believed that Shiva is happiest during these times and all the wishes of the devotees who pray to him are granted. The Trayodasi in the krishnapaksha is known as Masa Shivaratri.

6. Rudrabhishekam pooja: This pooja is considered as one of the powerful Shiva poojas to ward off evils and to fulfill desires.
